Randolph St. (West Loop)

Randolph Street's well-known restaurants and chefs take to the street for a cross-cultural celebration of food and drink. The three-day festival overflows with food, music and vendors situated along a six block stretch. Send groups to discover some of Chicago's famous West Loop fare from BellyQ, De Cero Taqueria, PorkChop, Grange Burger Hall and more. As visitor's endulge their taste buds and wander the festival, they also can shop the various merchants selling artisan goods. Don't miss the three stages with carefully selected music talent filling the air with DJ beats and rocking tunes from names like Divine Fits, Milo Greene and more. The festival attracts over 100,000 festival-goers with proceeds from the suggested donation fee ($10) going to the West Loop Community Organization.


July 5-7
Lawrence St. & Broadway (Uptown)

Chow down on some finger-lickin'-good barbeque. The Windy City Ribfest is celebrating its fifth year and has brought in grilling and barbeque masters from around the country. 2012's barbequed delights came from Chicago BBQ Company, Famous Dave's, Big Boned BBQ, Texas Thunder BBQ and 2013's vendors have not yet been announced. In between stacks of saucy, slow-smoked ribs and cold beers, dance at the music stage, which will be entertaining with a lineup of rock/pop, classic indie and local bands. A suggested donation of $6 dollars gets group members 3 days of anything barbequed and benefits the Chamber for Uptown.


July 10-14
Grant Park

Send the group to this staple Chicago food festival that attracts over one million visitors annually. It's been a Chicago tradition since 1980 exciting Chicagoans and visitors alike with events that appeal to all the senses. Groups will enjoy sampling delicious food from 70 of Chicago's best restaurants and chefs. They can also watch cooking demos, enjoy live entertainment and find a new favorite cocktail at the beer hall or wine garden. Chicago locals recommend keeping an eye out for the pop-up vendors (they were just introduced in last year's festival). These eateries typically appear just for one day. Also keep an eye out for Chicago's tastiest food trucks (new addition to the 2013 event) serving food before and after the music performances. In between bites, dance to the live music at the Petrillo Band Shell from the industry's biggest names-like two-time Grammy Award-winners fun. performing Wednesday July 10. The actual event is free but tasting tickets cost $8 for 12 tickets and most vendors sell their samples for 2­-4 tickets.


July 13-14
Belmont Ave. & Damen Ave. (Roscoe Village)

This festival celebrates the versatility of the delicious American staple: the burger. From ground beef, buffalo, turkey burger or veggie patties, Roscoe Village Burger Fest knows how to stimulate the taste buds with classic burgers to the ingenious variations that keep you coming back to redefine what a burger should be. The toppings are endless, the burgers fly hot off the grill and the music keeps the crowd grooving. 2013 participating burger vendors include big names like Etno Village Grill, Goose Island Brewpub, Indie Burger, Rockit Burger Bar (voted 2012's Burger ‘Fave'), Cortland's Garage (voted 2012's ‘Critics Choice') and many more. A suggested donation of $7 benefits the Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce.
