OAK STREET BEACH

Chicago has been an annual stop nearly every year since 1983 and is the most frequent location for a beach volleyball tournament outside of California. All within view of Chicago's skyline on the shores of Lake Michigan.

LAVER CUP
SEPTEMBER 21-23
UNITED CENTER

Chicago will host the 2018 edition of the Laver Cup — a new, all-star team tennis tournament that pits six of the top European players against six of their counterparts from the rest of the World. Similar to the Ryder Cup in golf, the Laver Cup will be the first professional tennis event held in the city in over two decades. Apply to Volunteer

CHICAGO MARATHON
OCTOBER 7, 2018

Approximately 45,000 runners hit the streets of Chicago's downtown and neighborhoods for this annual Bank of America marathon.

THE RUGBY WEEKEND
NOVEMBER 3, 2018

International rugby returns to Soldier Field for a triple-header, featuring the marquee match-up between No.2 ranked Ireland and Six Nations opponent Italy. On either side, the reigning women's World Champion New Zealand Black Ferns will face the USA Women's Rugby Eagles, with the New Zealand Maori All Blacks and USA Rugby Eagles finishing the day.
