Chicago businesses make USA Today‘s 10Best lists
USA Today‘s readers have named their favorite places in the U.S. and Chicago scored big. In the 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, ERIS Brewery and Cider House came out on top as Best Cidery. For Best New Restaurant, steakhouse Asador Bastian came in at No. 8, while the wine-focused Oakville Grill & Cellar placed No. 10. The St. Regis Chicago, a 101-story luxury property, ranked No. 9 for Best New Hotel.

Two McCormick Place hotels serve as headquarters for the upcoming DNC
Marriott Marquis Chicago and Hyatt Regency McCormick Place will serve as the headquarters hotels for the Democratic National Convention (DNC), held in Chicago from Aug. 19 – 22, 2024. Thousands of party delegates and journalists will convene at the United Center, where the Democrats will officially present their nominations for U.S. president and vice president.

Chicago’s largest hotel reveals a multimillion-dollar renovation
This spring, the Hyatt Regency Chicago — the city’s biggest hotel and the largest Hyatt in the world — will unveil its stunning $102 million dollar renovation. The redesign features a contemporary look, incorporating artwork that reflects the city’s history. Enhancements include upgrades to the Loop hotel’s 2,032 guest rooms and suites.

Chicago’s O’Hare is named North America’s best airport
For the 20th consecutive year, Chicago’s O’Hare International was named Best Airport in North America by Global Traveler. Readers of the magazine for frequent luxury travelers cast more than 20,000 write-in votes for its annual survey, which recognizes excellence in 104 travel-related categories.
