Chicago Friday Night Flights


Chicago Friday Night Flights, produced by the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild in partnership with Choose Chicago, will highlight the best of Chicago’s craft beer scene through a bi-monthly tasting event showcasing neighborhood breweries.

Chicago’s vibrant neighborhoods are home to some of the best beer and breweries in the country. An epicenter of the craft beer movement, Chicago is home to over 60 breweries which create a diverse array of styles and flavor profiles.

Each event will feature a tasting pass for purchase allowing you a chance to sample various beers from the participating breweries. Local entertainment and food for purchase will round out each Chicago Friday Night Flight experience making each event a true taste of the neighborhoods. Explore each event and avoid lines and save $5 by pre-purchasing sampling passes below.

Sampling passes include 10, 3oz samples of beer for $15 pre-purchase or $20 at the door. Both cash and credit cards will be accepted at the door for sampling passes. Each event is open to the public and will take place rain or shine.

Chicago Friday Night Flights is back on the Chicago Riverwalk for a special Oktoberfest edition on Friday, October 13!

This waterfront event features expanded event space in the River Theatre via Wendella Boats and over 20 participating breweries. Sample the best of Chicago’s traditional German lagers, Oktoberfest and seasonal beers from a variety of craft breweries across the city. Oktoberfest themed food from Riverwalk vendors and live entertainment will have everyone saying Prost!

Participating breweries include Hopewell Brewing Company, Cruz Blanca Cerveceria, Illuminated Brew Works, Haymarket Brewery, Eataly’s Birreria, Revolution Brewing, Argus Brewery, Old Irving Brewing Company, On Tour Brewing, Finch Beer Company, Pipeworks Brewery, Begyle Brewing Company, Half Acre Beer Company, Dovetail Brewery, Lo Rez Brewing, Whiner Beer Company, Goose Island Brewing Company, Aleman Brewing, Baderbrau, Marz Brewing Company, Rock Bottom - Chicago and Spiteful Brewing.

Chicago Friday Night Flights is part of a larger Oktoberfest themed event throughout the Riverwalk.

Chicago Friday Night Flights kicks-off the season on June 2nd in the Bridgeport neighborhood and will feature the breweries from the Bridgeport, Pilsen and Pullman neighborhoods. All three neighborhoods have seen a resurgence in recent years and the beer being produced in these neighborhoods should be on everyone’s radar. Food for purchase from the acclaimed The Duck Inn and local entertainment will round out your experience of these neighborhoods. The Chicago Riverwalk is the city’s newest urban recreation waterfront park space and pedestrian trail along the south bank of the Chicago River. This scenic promenade will host a special Chicago Friday Night Flights event on Friday, August 18th featuring 14 breweries from across the city. Sample a variety a beer from award-winning breweries, enjoy the music of DJ Mike P and guitarist Griffin Crowder, sample food from Riverwalk vendors City Winery, Island Party Hut and Tiny Tap while taking in the city from this awe-inspiring vantage point.
