Reviver

This newly opened Michigan Avenue bar is tucked inside the recently redesigned lobby of the Chicago Marriott Mag Mile. The chic space features cocktails inspired by Chicago's historical periods, local beer and wine, plus healthy starters and entrees made with produce grown on the hotel's rooftop garden.

Celebrity chef Stephanie Izard has expanded her West Loop empire. Cabra, a rooftop restaurant with a Peruvian-inspired menu, explores the Spanish, Chinese, Italian, and Japanese influence of Peruvian cuisine in a lush, green setting. The spot joins Izard's acclaimed restaurants Girl & The Goat, Little Goat and Duck Duck Goat (staying on theme, Cabra is Spanish for “goat”).

When a James Beard Award-winning chef sets up shop in town, people are bound to pay attention. Zach Engel's (winner of last year’s Rising Chef award) new modern Israeli concept blend influences from Engel’s Jewish-American heritage, along with Cuban and Palestinian flavors. Go a la carte, or opt for the family-style tasting menu so you can try a bit of everything.

The artsy spot opened their al fresco Riverwalk location, but their new interior space is just as stunning as the waterfront views. The richly decorated bar and restaurant dishes out sharable Mediterranean cuisine in a former 100-year-old jewelry store — complete with the original, massive crystal chandeliers.

Young American is a progressive bar and kitchen that fits right in with its trendy Logan Square surroundings. The eclectic menu features CBD-infused cocktails (that can all be made spirit-free), plus a selection of creative, crave-worthy plates (hello, goth bread). Look for live DJ sets on weekends.

This tiny, all-vegan restaurant in Lakeview will offer a plant-based menu of baked goods, soups, breakfast sandwiches, wraps. They'll also host upscale vegan pop-ups.

Avli Taverna

With an all-Greek wine list and authentic bites, Avli Taverna offers a refreshingly different take on Greek fare. 1335 W. Wrightwood Ave., open 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday through Sunday; plans to stay open past 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
