In the summertime, catching your favorite music performers is imperative. There are several big name concerts beginning in the month of May and continuing into September. SOLDIER FIELD CONCERTS

One of the largest outdoor venues in Chicago and home to the Chicago Bears football team, Soldier Field Stadium definitely sets the stage for music performances in the Windy City. The historic stadium is located on Lake Michigan just south of downtown. Big time artists such as Beyoncé and Coldplay have previously entertained fans in this sports stadium by the lake front.

WRIGLEY FIELD CONCERTS

Home to the Chicago Cubs baseball team, Wrigley Field is an iconic Chicago venue in the Wrigleyville neighborhood. The stadium plays host to various special events, and their summer concerts are a great way to experience the baseball field from a different perspective. Jimmy Buffet, The Police and the Foo Fighters are just a few of the previous summer concerts that Wrigley has hosted since 2005.

MILLENNIUM PARK CONCERTS

Jay Pritzker Pavilion is a popular tourist spot for workout programs and dance lessons, a wide variety of musical and dance performances, outdoor movie viewing, and other special events. It is located in the heart of Chicago at Millennium Park and hosts major festivals including the Millennium Park Summer Music Series, Grant Park Music Festival and the Chicago Jazz Festival.

 

HOLLYWOOD CASINO AMPHITHEATRE CONCERTS

Located in Chicago's southwest suburb of Tinley Park, Illinois, Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre opened in 1990 and has an approximate attendance of 400,000 fans per year. It is recognized as one of the biggest amphitheater venues in America and boasts the unique feature of having elevated, private skyboxes. This historic venue has hosted a vast array of artists from legendary acts to modern music. A sample of the many past performances at the amphitheater includes: Bob Dylan, Dave Matthews Band, Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band, Blake Shelton, Aerosmith, Ms. Lauryn Hill and Bruno Mars.

RAVINIA FESTIVAL CONCERTS

Ravinia Festival in Highland Park, Illinois is the summer home for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and annually holds a summer concert series, known as the oldest outdoor music festival in the U.S. The festival is located in Ravinia Park with an outside pavilion and two indoor performance halls. Many famous musical performers have taken stage at Ravinia, including The Beach Boys, Ella Fitzgerald, Hall & Oates and Chicago.
