American Airlines recently announced it will begin new nonstop service between Chicago and Sacramento, California beginning June 2, 2016. The airline will operate two daily flights from O'Hare International Airport to Sacramento International Airport on a B737-800 aircraft.

The Convention Industry Council (CIC) and Meetings Mean Business Coalition (MMBC) announced Fuse 2016, a joint educational roadshow that will bring planners and properties together to reinvent the way business is done before their events and meetings begin. The five-city roadshow, sponsored by Loews Hotels, PSAV and American Furniture Rentals (AFR) will arrive in Chicago July 27. Loews Chicago O’Hare will host the event. Other city stops include Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Orlando and Dallas.

LondonHouse, slated to open at the coveted corner of Michigan and Wacker this spring, is making a significant mark on Chicago’s burgeoning rooftop bar scene with its three-level rooftop lounge overlooking the Chicago River. The rooftop is touted as Chicago's only tri-level rooftop venue and will serve up small plates and cocktails. Another bar two levels below will offer re-imagined American fare and craft cocktails and Bridges Lobby Bar will hold down the second floor.
