Join in the 10th Anniversary Summer Celebration!
With 25 acres of awe-inspiring landscape, breathtaking architecture and an iconic collection of public art, Millennium Park is Chicago’s premier green space.

When it debuted on July 16, 2004, Millennium Park transformed what was formerly an industrial wasteland into a vibrant, new town square. Ten year later, Millennium Park celebrates its anniversary season with dozens of FREE events and exhibitions including new, monumental sculptures by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa (designer of Crown Fountain); indie rock, electronica, jazz, classical and world music concerts; films, simulcasts and documentaries shown on an outdoor, 40-foot LED screen; family activities; workouts and more!

On your visit, don’t miss "The Bean," an eye-catching draw for visitors and locals alike year round. Take a picture in front of Cloud Gate, the official name for the massive, stainless steel structure that’s become Chicago’s signature landmark. In its mirror-like surface you'll see not only your own reflection, but the stunning downtown skyline.

Also in Millennium Park, escape into Lurie Garden, a four-season urban oasis that pays homage to Chicago's motto — "Urbs in Horto," or City in a Garden. Spread out a blanket on the Great Lawn in front of the award-winning Pritzker Pavilion for any of the free events each day. Cool off by splashing around in Millennium Park’s Crown Fountain, a shallow reflecting pool bookended by 50-foot towers. Grab food and drinks at the alfresco patio Park Grill, or burn off those calories during a Saturday morning workout on the Great Lawn.
