Founded by two Army veterans turned technology entrepreneurs, RideScout was born as an idea for a tool showing the quickest way for CEO Joseph Kosper to get to work. With co-founder Craig Cummings, RideScout's journey began in November 2013 and has since expanded to 69 cities, including Chicago.

RideScout is a free mobile app that aggregates ground transportation services, including public transit, private options and social rideshare. This allows people to search and compare rides on demand and in real time.

The transportation aggregator expanded to Chicago in May 2014, allowing Chicagoans to connect with Hailo taxis and black cars, Sidecar drivers, Zipcars, Divvy bike share, CTA buses and subway, Metra rail and Amtrak. Walking, driving and parking are also included through integration of Parking Panda.

Boasting the country's second largest public transportation system and an average of 1.6 million rides taken daily, Chicago benefits greatly from a technology platform such as RideScout. Visitors to Chicago can take advantage of RideScout to get from point A to point B in the fastest, cheapest fashion they see fit.

When planning your next event or conference in Chicago, keep RideScout in mind for all transportation needs. Ride options may be multitudinous in Chicago, but RideScout offers a quick and easy way to compare different modes of transport.
