Millennium Park Summer Music Series
June 15 to Aug. 6, 2026
Mondays and Thursdays, shows begin at 6:30 p.m.
Chicago is a music city all year long, but summer ushers in increased opportunities to enjoy free alfresco shows.
Groove to the rhythms of local, national, and international musicians while soaking up the park’s natural beauty during the Millennium Park Summer Music Series.
These twice-weekly concerts are held at the soaring Pritzker Pavilion. Feel the breeze off the lake and watch the sun set behind the skyline as you enjoy the sounds of live music.
Standouts from this year’s packed lineup include:
- Acclaimed percussionist, singer, and ‘80s legend Sheila E. with local blues guitarist Melody Angel
- Influential Colombian supergroup Aterciopelados, who mix rock with Latin American musical traditions
- An exciting GRAMMY showcase that features Chicago’s own global artist/singer/songwriter Matt B and rising reggae star Lila Iké

Millennium Park Summer Film Series
June 30 to Aug. 18, 2026
Tuesdays, films start at 6:30 p.m.
Nothing beats watching a movie under the stars on the expansive lawn of the Pritzker Pavilion. Bring a blanket, pack a picnic, and enjoy a classic summer-in-Chicago tradition.
The free Millennium Park Summer Film Series features a fun selection of blockbusters, family-friendly flicks, and popular classics — all with the stunning Chicago skyline as a backdrop.
Highlights from this year’s movie schedule include:
- A 30th anniversary showing of Independence Day
- A special tribute to the late director Rob Reiner with a double feature of When Harry Met Sally and This is Spinal Tap
- A 20th anniversary presentation of The Devil Wears Prada

Millennium Park Summer Workouts
May 16 to Sept. 5, 2026
Saturdays, 8:00 to 11:45 a.m.
Flex your muscles in the fresh air during free outdoor workout classes with a variety of fitness experts during the Millennium Park Summer Workouts.
Each Saturday, soak up the sun with an invigorating program of pilates, yoga, cardio kickboxing, and Zumba. Select classes are even accompanied by live music. Classes take place on the Great Lawn and in Wrigley Square,
Bring your mat and water bottle and work out with some of the city’s most popular fitness instructors, including:
- Pilates with Randi Whitman from Frog Temple Pilates & Yoga
- Cardio kickboxing with Tyrone Hemmingway of Bushido Karate & Fitness
- Zumba with dancer and choreographer Stacy Letrice

Chicago Blues Festival
June 5 – 7, 2026
The largest free blues festival in the world, the Chicago Blues Festival is a bucket-list event for all kinds of music fans. This year’s fest features legends like Taj Mahal and a tribute to local blues label Alligator Records’ 55th anniversary.
Chicago Gospel Music Festival
July 24 – 25, 2026
Listen to the soaring sounds of gospel music in the city where it was born. The Chicago Gospel Music Festival will showcase contemporary, traditional, and quartet forms of gospel.
Chicago House Music Festival
Aug. 27 – 30, 2026
Groove to the percussive house rhythms during the Chicago House Music Festival, which honors the past and present of this Chicago-born genre. Local and international DJs and musicians will grace the stage and turn the Pritzker Pavilion into an open-air dance floor.
Grant Park Music Festival
June 10 – Aug. 15, 2026
The soothing melodies of classical music will fill Millennium Park during the Grant Park Music Festival. This year’s fest highlights include a Broadway-style tribute to the nation’s 250th anniversary and a visit from singer and pianist Ben Folds.
Outdoor Public Art Walking Tours
May 16 — Oct. 17, 2026
Stroll through the art-filled Millennium Park campus and learn the stories behind iconic public works like “The Bean”, Crown Fountain, and more. Tours take place on the first and third Saturday of each month. Register for a free tour.
