Come out to Grant Park for Chicago SummerDance from June 23 to September 10 for dancing and FREE instructional lessons on everything from Bachata to Ballroom. Or simply sit back and enjoy live music under the stars.

Showcasing dance styles from all corners of the globe, this annual event (now in its 21st year) takes place every weekend Friday to Sunday. One hour, introductory lessons led by professional instructors are followed by two hours of live music and dancing:

Fridays & Saturdays

  • Dance Lessons: 6:00-7:00 pm
  • Live Music & Dancing: 7:30-9:30 pm


  • Dance Lessons: 4:00-5:00 pm
  • Live Music & Dancing: 5:00-7:00 pm

Performers: Mucca Pazza (A Little Marching Band)
Instructors: Mucca Pazza will perform + teach creative marching, freestyle cheerleading and Chicago Dweebstep
