Summer Screenings: Free Films All Summer Long

🍿 The Summer Screenings program is back with free screenings of 21 films from 21 countries!

This year’s theme is Summer of Love! Love has long been a thematic obsession of the cinema from the art form’s earliest days. It’s a force that connects us and divides us, that binds us and breaks our hearts, that lifts us up and devastates us. This program features films that explore the many ways in which love manifests in our lives…and on screen—from winning rom-coms to tender examinations of family to smoldering stories of yearning to dramas that celebrate friendship. This series explores what it means to love and be loved around the world.

Screenings will play on Mondays at the Chicago Cultural Center and Wednesdays at the Chicago History Museum at 6:30 PM. Free tickets will be made available to the public every Monday at 10:00 AM CT on the Chicago International Film Festival website for the following week of films. Seating is general and on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited to theater capacity. We encourage you to arrive early (doors open at 5:45 PM).

If the event is sold out, you can pick up a Standby Card at the door. Open seats will be made available to standby at 6:15 PM.

Join us for a Summer of Love with free screenings all season long!
