Chicago South Asian Film Festival screens film ‘Elijah’
Chicago South Asian Film Festival will showcase acclaimed indie film ‘Elijah’ made by New York filmmaker Razid Season.
The film follows a South Asian Muslim cabbie in NYC whose views are challenged when he must confront community prejudice to protect his transgender son.
The film has been screened at prestigious film festivals around the world, including the U.S., Canada, Australia, Brazil, and India. It has also received a number of awards, including the AudienceChoiceAward from the Phoenix Film Festival and Best Drama at the Coney Island Film Festival in New York.
The film will be screened at the AMC River East 21 at 322 E Illinois St, Chicago, IL 60611 on September 18 at 9:30 pm.
