The Langham, Chicago, Hotel Zachary at Gallagher Way, and Viceroy Chicago all received Travel + Leisure 2019 World’s Best Awards in the Best 15 City Hotels in the Continental United States category. Chicago Restaurant Week

During Chicago Restaurant Week, held Jan. 24 – Feb. 9, 2020, foodies have the chance to try specially priced prix fixe menus from more than 300 restaurants around the city. From Feb. 13 – 23, 2020, Chicago celebrates its critically acclaimed theatre scene during Chicago Theatre Week, with discounted tickets to more than 100 shows.

The biggest Starbucks in the world opens in Chicago

The four-level Starbucks Reserve Roastery, the world’s largest Starbucks, opens Nov. 15 on The Magnificent Mile. At the experiential store, customers can sample rare, small-batch Reserve coffees and see how the beans are roasted, brewed, and packaged. In addition to Reserve drinks and cocktails, Starbucks offers artisan pizza and desserts from its on-site Italian bakery, Princi.

New drag restaurant Lips Chicago debuts in the South Loop

Lips Chicago is the first Midwest outpost of the dazzling drag show-and-dinner venue. The candy-colored South Loop location features a big, sparkling stage and roomy aisles for the glamorous drag queens to sashay down. The menu includes bites with sassy names like Batty Davis elote corn fritters and Vivian Dejour lobster ravioli. Plan a drag dinner or diva cocktail party for up to 200 guests.

Lululemon launches first-ever experiential store and restaurant in Chicago

Iconic athletic wear brand Lululemon chose Chicago’s Lincoln Park as the site for its new 20,000-square-foot flagship store. Lululemon’s first-ever experiential store sells its complete line of yoga and running gear for men and women, in addition to offering group fitness and meditation classes, plus wellness events. Lululemon also features its first restaurant, Fuel Space, which serves healthy snacks like smoothies, black bean burgers, and acai bowls.
