The Lawndale Route 66 Festival
The Lawndale Route 66 Festival, taking place on Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, along a historic stretch of Route 66 in North Lawndale (3700–3917 W. Ogden Avenue), on Chicago’s West Side.
This festival is an evolution of the beloved Chicago’s Historic Route 66 Classic Car Show, now in its 12th year. What began as a celebration of vintage vehicles and automotive heritage for an after-church crowd of about 150 people has grown into a full-day festival celebrating community empowerment, economic revitalization, and cultural preservation. This year, we’re bringing together the best of Lawndale’s spirit—cars, concerts, and community—to create a powerful and inclusive experience for residents and partners alike. We anticipate a diverse crowd of about 9,500 people throughout the day, consisting of members of 10 local churches, local residents, small business owners, elected officials, community leaders, Chicago Public Schools students and their parents, senior citizens, members of philanthropy and the corporate sector.
