The Clancy is an arts gallery/performance salon in Chicago’s historic Uptown Square that showcases local music at Uptown Lounge.
AJ Rosales’s style is not easy to classify, perhaps “progressive acoustic” is the best term – his influences reflect the rhythmic approach of Pete Townshend, the emotive delivery of Cat Stevens, the experimental explorations of Robert Fripp, the expressiveness of Bob Mould, and even the soulfulness of Nick Drake. Ultimately, he delivers his own unique hybrid sound, blending multiple genres into a cohesive and modern sensibility that sounds like “AJ”. His most recent album, LIVE AJ EP, was released on Friday, March 27 and features live renditions of five songs that appear on his 2025 album Phasedrift and the previously unreleased track “Dreams.”
Ducksaliva is a young, Chicago-based rock band that plays moody Post-Punk (as evidenced on their 2024 single “Bridges + Walls”) and postmodern, harmony-laden Indie Rock as heard on the single’s B-side “Coolin’ Down.”
