Since 2003, Sam Robinson has played in venues all over Chicago and the Midwest. He currently leads the Sam Robinson Quintet, which plays straight-ahead jazz mainly from the hard-bop/post-bop era. The band also performs original compositions in a similar style. Robinson has just recently released his fourth album on Miles High Records. The album includes six original compositions and is entitled “Chasin’ the Dream.”
