IPW 2025 Press Brunch

We look forward to welcoming all registered IPW 2025 media to an exclusive Press Brunch on Sunday, June 15 from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the historic Wrigley Field, the second-oldest ballpark in the U.S. and home to the Chicago Cubs! 

Enjoy all the game-day excitement as the Cubs face off against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to experience the unique traditions and charm of Wrigley Field, built in 1914 and the beloved home of the Chicago Cubs for more than a century!

Know before you go

Please see below for important logistical details for the IPW 2025 Press Brunch, taking place Sunday, June 15, from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. at Wrigley Field.

IPW Media Badging and Press Event Lanyard:

• Press Credentials: Journalists are strongly encouraged to pick up their credentials Saturday in the IPW Press Room (view hours).
• Press Event Lanyards (available Sunday): Required for all media. Pick up at Gate 3 of the convention center or in the lobby of the downtown IPW hotels.

Press Brunch Shuttle Details:

• Press Brunch shuttles depart IPW Host Hotels and McCormick Place convention center at 8:00 a.m.

OPTION 1 – IPW Hotels at McCormick Place Convention Center:

• Media staying at the four IPW hotels located at McCormick Place will depart from Gate 3 at the convention center. Look for volunteers and signage while walking from the hotels to help guide you!

OPTION 2 – IPW Hotels Downtown:

• Media at any of the five host hotels located in downtown Chicago will have shuttle transportation from the hotel. Pick-up areas will be noted on shuttle signage in the hotel lobby. Look for brunch volunteers!

OPTION 3 – Not at an IPW hotel?

• Media NOT staying at a host hotel should board press brunch shuttles at the convention center or a nearby host hotel at 8:00 a.m.

You Have Your Badge on Sunday:

• Wear badge and view shuttle options above.
• Pick up Press Event lanyard at downtown hotels or Gate 3 of the convention center (required for entry).

You Do Not Have Your Badge on Sunday:

• Media staying at the four IPW hotels on the McCormick Place campus:
  • Go to Gate 3 at convention center, present your photo ID for a temporary Press Event lanyard.
• Media at any of the five host hotels located in downtown Chicago:
  • Visit the IPW Hospitality table in the hotel lobby, present your photo ID for a temporary Press Event lanyard.
• Media without IPW badges can pick up Press Tour ribbons at the Press Tour Information Desk in Right Field at Wrigley Field.
  • The Press Tour Information Desk will be open from 8:30 – 9:45 a.m.
  • No Press Tour changes on Sunday. All media must submit a liability waiver.

Important for media with temporary Press Event lanyards:

• Pick up your IPW press credentials no later than 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. All press tours return to McCormick Place.

Event and Press Tour Departure Details

• IPW Press Brunch Agenda:
  • 8:30am | Enjoy special field access with food, beverages and exclusive activations
  • 10:00am | Grab a seat on the iconic bleachers of Wrigley Field
  • 10:15am | Bleacher Report from our key speakers
  • 11:00am | Prepare to depart and explore Chicago
• Press Tours depart from Wrigley Field promptly at 11:30 a.m. Look for signs directing you to your specific Press Tour vehicle.
• All Press Tours will return to McCormick Place at 4:30 p.m.

Not taking a Press Tour?

• Limited transportation will be provided to McCormick Place after the Press Brunch. Volunteers will guide you to the appropriate shuttle.
• Explore Wrigleyville after the Press Brunch on your own and take rideshare, taxi, or public transportation back to McCormick Place or the host hotels.
• Game day rideshare pickup locations: Addison Street between Broadway and Halsted Street or Irving Park Road between Clark Street and Seminary Avenue.
