5th Annual Wild Mile Block Party July 19, 2026

The Chicago River’s biggest summer event is back! The 5th Annual Wild Mile Block Party is celebrating the progress of the Wild Mile, the world’s first floating eco-park.

This free, family-friendly event features local food and drinks, music, environmental education activities, prizes, and opportunities to explore the Wild Mile while learning about urban ecological restoration. Hosted by Urban Rivers, the Block Party celebrates the continued growth of the eco-park and welcomes more than 1,000 attendees each year.
