On July 18 at Wrigley Field, the Cubs will host a celebration honoring the 10th anniversary of the 2016 World Series championship.

To kick off the festivities, “Champions Gate,” a new monument to memorialize the club’s 1907, 1908 and 2016 World Series championships, will be unveiled at the western entrance to Gallagher Way.

Starting at 10 a.m. CT, the celebration will air live on Marquee Sports Network with Cole Wright serving as emcee. Fans can expect special remarks from former Cubs manager Joe Maddon and former Cubs first baseman and World Series Champion Anthony Rizzo. Other fan-favorite alumni will also be in attendance for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Fans are welcome to attend the celebration at Gallagher Way starting at 9 a.m. No gameday ticket is required.

To relive the excitement, Cubs Authentics and the Cubs and Wrigley Field Archives will host special activations at Gallagher Way for fans to enjoy including:

• The final out baseball from both the 1908 and 2016 World Series on display for fans to take photos from July 17-19.
• The opportunity to purchase game-used and autographed items from the 2016 season.

The celebration continues inside the ballpark as former Cubs pitcher and World Series champion Kyle Hendricks will throw out the ceremonial first pitch and members of the 2016 World Series championship team will sing the seventh-inning stretch.
