The Chicago Air & Water Show, one of the summer's most thrilling spectacles, is coming up on August 19–20 (10 a.m.–3 p.m.). The U.S. Navy Blue Angels, the U.S. Army Parachute Team Golden Knights and many more experts in speed will hit the skies over our fair city in this, the largest free air-and-water-focused show in the U.S. While you can always catch the Air & Water Show from pretty much anywhere on the lakefront between Fullerton Avenue and Oak Street, here are four ways to view the show in comfort and style:

Starting next week Sunday, Chicago will be home to everything soccer. Culminating in the anxiously awaited showdown between the best of the MLS and Europe’s premier club, Real Madrid, at Soldier Field, MLS All-Star week is full of free family events being held across the city. From Toyota Park to North Ave Beach, the PrivateBank Fire Pitch and Soldier Field, Chicagoans and fans from around the world will see Chicago transformed into soccer city.

Lovely Lake Michigan is the lone Great Lake located entirely within the United States and is the fifth-largest lake in the world. 307 miles long by 118 miles wide, with a shoreline 1,640 miles long, the lake is our city's deep blue gem. While you can always stroll along the beautiful lakefront or swim at one of the many city beaches, why not hop into a kayak, step atop a paddleboard, snorkel, scuba or even surf Lake Michigan? Here are five unique, active ways to experience Chicago's beautiful stretch of Lake Michigan.

Maggie Daley Park charmed us with its ice skating loop, challenged us with its climbing structures and thrilled us with its amazing play garden. It's easy to spend an entire day playing at this beautiful park, thanks to the tennis courts, picnic groves and fun, family-friendly events. Now there's yet another amazing thing to do at Chicago's best and brightest new park: City Mini Golf!

If you haven't been to the Lakefront Trail in Chicago, you're missing a lot of natural beauty (all FREE for everyone to enjoy), efficient transportation to Chicago's neighborhoods, and a great opportunity to get in a workout. Here's why we love the Chicago Lakefront Trail, and some things you might not have known about it.
