Travelers passing through Chicago’s bustling O’Hare International Airport (ORD) can find peaceful oases within its impressive selection of airline lounges. Whether you’re looking to recharge with a meal, freshen up with a shower, focus on work, or simply relax in a quiet space away from the crowds, various airlines offer an array of spaces at O’Hare. And they cater to all types of passengers, from frequent flyers to occasional travelers with lounge day passes.

What’s new and coming soon
The 25,000-square-foot United Polaris lounge — reserved exclusively for United Airlines’ international first-class and business-class passengers — recently reopened in Terminal 1 at Gate C18. With 50% more space, visitors will discover Crate & Barrel decor, 350 seats, six additional restrooms, and a full-service, speakeasy-style bar. The 50-seat private dining room offers a la carte meals in addition to hot buffets with breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes.

Although the American Airlines’ Flagship Lounge in Terminal 3 will be closing, it will reopen in a new location in early 2026 with amazing airfield views and the return of amenities like shower suites, specialty cocktail and wine service, and menus curated in partnership with the James Beard Foundation.
