The Black Imagination Abroad June 5, 2026
The Black Imagination Abroad is a new artist salon series presented as part of the ongoing Arts Education programming for the exhibition Paris in Black: Internationalism and the Black Renaissance at The DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center.
Hosted by Danny Dunson, Director of Curatorial Affairs and Arts Education, the series invites contemporary artists into conversation around Black internationalism, artistic practice, image-making, cultural exchange, and the evolving creative landscapes of the African diaspora.
The inaugural event will feature Chicago artist and creative director Austyn Wyche, whose recent photographic work created in Paris offers a compelling contemporary meditation on Black presence abroad.
The evening will feature:
▪️ Artist presentation
