Stand By Me: The Film and Its Stars 40 Years Later June 14, 2026
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the classic coming-of-age film, the special event “Stand By Me: The Film and Its Stars 40 Years Later” is coming to Chicago in the summer of 2026.
The evening features a screening of the movie on the big screen followed by a live, in-person moderated conversation and reunion with the film’s original stars:
Wil Wheaton (Gordie Lachance)
Jerry O’Connell (Vern Tessio)
Corey Feldman (Teddy Duchamp)
The actors will share behind-the-scenes stories, personal memories from the set, and reflect on the legacy of their late co-star, River Phoenix.
