Reeling: The Chicago LGBTQ+ International Film Festival
Reeling: The Chicago LGBTQ+ International Film Festival returns September 19-28. Reeling showcases the best of queer cinema, from laugh-out-loud comedies to searing dramas and everything in between. Curate your viewing experience from 38 feature films and documentaries and 59 short films, and be the first in the country – or the world – to watch this year’s premieres. The festival also features exclusive filmmaker interviews and special guests.
On September 19 celebrate the start of the festival with our opening night screening and party: LESBIAN SPACE PRINCESS, a cosmic quest filled with sapphic jokes, addictive pop songs, and candy-colored animation. Costumes encouraged.
All festival screenings will take place at Landmark Century Centre Cinemas and Chicago Filmmakers’ Firehouse Cinema. See you at the (gay) movies!
Reeling is produced by Chicago Filmmakers, a 50+ year-old not-for-profit media arts organization that supports independent filmmaking through education, funding, workforce training, and exhibition opportunities.
