MUBI Fest July 12, 2026
MUBI FEST returns to Chicago July 10-12 with a weekend full of exclusive screenings, curated cinema, live music, an open air market, and more. Venues include The Salt Shed, Music Box Theatre and Siskel Film Center. This year’s program theme is “Better Together”: A series of cinematic pairings that reflect and refract one another, exploring relationships as a shifting bond shaped by loyalty, intimacy and power. Each film might echo or even complicate the other, but they’re always better together. Festival highlights include the Chicago premiere of Jane Schoenbrun’s hotly anticipated TEENAGE SEX AND DEATH AT CAMP MIASMA starring Hannah Einbinder and Gillian Anderson; a sneak preview of Karim Aïnouz’s ROSEBUSH PRUNING starring Callum Turner, Riley Keough, Elle Fanning and Pamela Anderson; a live score performance of Kelly Reichardt’s THE MASTERMIND featuring composer Rob Mazurek and a special scented screening experience of Coralie Fargeat’s Academy-Award® winning THE SUBSTANCE, reminiscent of the classic John Waters’ Odorama screenings.
