JASC Holiday Delight & Kodomo Matsuri
Holiday Delight & Kodomo Matsuri is a holiday festival that celebrates Japanese American traditions while welcoming the broader Chicago community. It brings together longtime participants and invites new visitors to experience and learn about Japanese culture.
Holiday Delight welcomes everyone to enjoy:
Cultural performances such as taiko drumming and traditional Japanese dance
Local market vendors and delicious food from across the city
Cultural and hands-on crafts like origami and language games
Family-friendly activities including children’s crafts and a visit from Santa
And so much more!
The festival is also a wonderful opportunity to learn about the Japanese American Service Committee (JASC), which has been part of Chicago’s history since its founding in 1946.
