In the Company of Women

Join us on Thursday, August 21st, from 6-8 pm for an inspiring evening of conversation, creativity, and connection—complete with wine and the stunning art collection at 21c Museum Hotel Chicago. This invitation is open to the public; however, space is limited, and an RSVP is required.

Inspired by the book by Grace Bonney, In the Company of Womenexplores the paths of over 100 creative female entrepreneurs, sharing their advice and tips for others looking to form a similar career path. Vagabond Art is recreating this experience by inviting both mid-career and high-profile female entrepreneurs working in the creative industry to mingle, exchange ideas, and form connections. This invitation extends beyond the art industry to include women and female-identifying individuals from fields such as visual merchandising, design, culinary arts, and more.  

Vagabond Art is an events-based, community-driven curatorial initiative spearheaded by seasoned arts professional Camilla Mikolajewska. Deeply embedded in the creative community, both in Chicago and internationally, Vagabond Art seeks to forge impactful connections that uplift emerging creatives and transcend physical location. Vagabond Art creates conversations between artists and local businesses through events and exhibitions in order to break down barriers and provide widespread networks for artists in every career stage. All are welcome at a Vagabond Art show, as they look to elevate exciting new voices, support established ones, and bring connection to the arts community.
