Chicago Symphony Orchestra: The Soldier’s Tale

Step into the engrossing world of Stravinsky’s The Soldier’s Tale — a Faustian fable about a soldier-fiddler who makes a pact with the devil — in this semi-staged collaboration with The Goodman featuring ragtime rhythms and freewheeling violin solos. The all-Stravinsky program also includes his exquisite Septet and his neoclassical Octet, each highlighting the string and wind players of the CSO respectively.
