Bugapalooza
Calling all bug enthusiasts! Chicago’s premier celebration of all things arthropod– Bugapalooza is back!
Drop by any time during the event to meet native insects and spiders in our Bug Zoo. Swing by our science labs to nerd out with our entomologist while looking up close at critters with the BugScope, and watch insect pinning demonstrations. Meet scientists from the University of Illinois who are studying insects and incorporating their discoveries into engineering designs! Younger guests will have a blast trying out our Bugstacle Course! Then, head outside and grab a net to discover the insects and spiders that call our prairie and pond home.
Guests of all ages will discover new things and enjoy themselves, and this event is especially good at inspiring our younger bug enthusiasts and their caretakers.
Ticket price includes museum admission including our brand new interactive exhibit: “By a Thread: Nature’s Resilience” where you can color and add a butterfly to our virtual prairie!
Family and Family+ Members get access to discounted admission.
