Book Club Celebration
Chicago Public Library hosts a citywide Book Club Celebration! Gather up your book club and come down to Harold Washington Library Center’s Winter Garden for a celebration of reading and the joy of discussing books with others! Not part of a book club? We can match you to one! We’ll have a discussion with local authors, book-related crafts led by Chi City Craft Club, a mockTALE bar and mocktail demonstration led by UnMuddled Bartending, a volunteer fair featuring local literary and literacy focused organizations, and most excitingly, an introduction to our new platform that makes reserving sets of books for your book club easier than ever.
Additional programming during this event includes:
5:20pm: Author Mia Manansala in conversation with Ald. Samantha Nugent
6:00pm: Mocktail Demo with UnMuddled Brewing
6:30pm: Olga Dies Dreaming Book Discussion
Volunteer fair organizations:
- Chicago Books to Women in Prison
- JARC Chicago
- The Learning Center
- Literacy Chicago
- Open Books
- Read and Run
- SitStayRead
