Black & Bronze Fest Debuts in Bronzeville to Celebrate Black Resilience, Culture, and Community
CHICAGO, IL — Where community meets cultural impact, visibility, and legacy building, Black & Bronze Fest is making its debut in Bronzeville on September 6, 2025. This groundbreaking festival will honor the powerful history of Chicago’s South Side—from the waves of the Great Migration to the Civil Rights Movement—through live music, spoken word, and community gathering. Hosted at Armstrong (Lillian Hardin) Park, this immersive experience will showcase the resilience and artistry that define Black Chicago.
“Bronzeville is Black Metropolis—historically, it was at the center of art and culture. So many pioneers across genres and mediums converged and came out of this area. It’s critical that we remember and celebrate that. At the same time, we are experiencing a renaissance in culture and creativity across the South Side right now. It’s time we amplify the genius of the current moment and bring the South Side center stage,” said Festival Producer Jessica La Rel.
