Art & Faith of the Crèche Exhibit December 4, 2026
A Holiday Tradition Returns! The Art & Faith of the Crèche exhibition honors the legacy of James and Emilia Govan, whose extraordinary collection of Crèches from around the world continues to inspire reflection and connection across faiths and cultures. Over the course of almost forty years, the Govans amassed over 500 crèches, representing over 100 countries. Many are unique in their depiction of the nativity story and incorporate elements, such as architecture, clothing, animals, gifts, and materials, that are particular to the artist’s native country. Over 50 of these crèches are on display at LUMA for the month of December. Come get in the holiday spirit at LUMA!
