Owen Keehnen is the author of several books on Chicago LGBT history including Gay Chicago Memories: 1300 N. Wells, Dugan’s Bistro and the Legend of the Bearded Lady, Man’s Country More Than a Bathhouse and A Place For Us: Gay Life at Chicago’s Belmont Rocks. He lives in Rogers Park with his husband Carl and dogs Vince and Daisy.
