Lakeside Center ( formerly the East Building) reopened in 1998 in the original McCormick Place structure. It features more than 583,000 square feet of exhibit space and has been retrofitted to meet the needs of a variety of different groups in the mid-sized and growing event market.

2 exhibit halls (300,000 square feet and 283,000 square feet)
40 meeting rooms (141,000 square feet of meeting space)
One of the largest ballrooms in the city (141,000 square feet divisible into 2 equal size rooms)
Arie Crown Theater (4,249 seats)
