Water Tower Place Celebrates Black History Month During Valentine’s Day Weekend


Water Tower Place, a Chicago landmark and on the Magnificent Mile, will host a series of community-forward events celebrating Black History Month on Sunday, February 15, including a focus on Black-owned makers at the South Loop Winter Market, a special guest meet-and-greet with America’s Next Top Model alum Sharaun, and a live blues performance from A Patch of Blues. Events include:
 
Black History Month at the South Loop Winter Market at Water Tower Place – Every Sunday, 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. 
Shop Chicago’s Black-owned businesses at the South Loop Winter Market, running 12- 4 pm every Sunday from January 11 to March 29 on Level 4. Select vendors include:
  • Newcomers Kudu Social, offering phenomenal spirit-free cocktails, and Just’s NYC Cheesecake, serving slices of delicious New York-style cheesecake
  • Lunch from The Chef and The Baker, The Pure Juice & Vegan Food Joint and Goddess Good Food
  • Specialty foods and snacks from Joibilee Popping Co., Homegirl’s Hummus and Veggie Brunch
  • Beverages from Kikwetu, Frogtown Juice and Teas for Tots
  • Apparel and accessories from Graduate Garmentry, Mae Blue Creations and Chacha Threads
  • Luxury candles by Anjoli Candle Company and skincare and wellness essentials from Fem Rituals
  • Pet goods from Pearl and Paw and Wooftastic
During the event, free two-hour parking with validation from the market is available.
Meet and Greet with America’s Next Top Model alum Sharaun at Fashion Bar – Sunday, February 15, 12 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Fresh off her recent Grammy’s appearance as the official Trophy Model Presenter, ANTP alum Sharaun Brown will be having a meet and greet at Fashion Bar on Level 2 on Sunday, February 15.

 
Live Performance from A Patch of Blues – Sunday, February 15, 12:30 – 3:30 p.m.
While you’re at the Winter Market, stay for a live performance on Level 4 from A Patch of Blues, a young up-and-coming blues and soul band and recipient of Chicago Music Award for Most Outstanding Band in 2024.
