The Soul Avengers: A Tribute to Classic Soul October 31, 2026

The Soul Avengers return to SPACE after a paying tribute to Al Green at the venue in the hazy days before the pandemic. This time, the group of veteran Chicago musicians who’ve played with each other in various configurations for twenty years or more, will play classic soul music from multiple eras with connections to the cities that shaped the sounds of soul; from Memphis to Detroit and New Orleans to LA.

Steve Dawson, Alton Smith, and Bill Brickey front a band including Evanston’s own Chris Greene.
