Comedians Affected by Parkinson’s Disease Give Laughs and Give Back at STAND UP

FOR PARKINSON’S Zanies Chicago

Renowned comics bring laughs to benefit the Parkinson’s Foundation.
CHICAGO, IL – October 4, 2026 – On Sunday afternoon, October 4th, after the Parkinson’s
Foundation's Moving Day event, comedians Ana Belaval and Paul Farahvar will host – Stand Up
for Parkinson’s – to benefit the Parkinson’s Foundation. The event will take place at Zanies
Comedy Club in Chicago, IL. All the proceeds from this event will support the Parkinson’s
Foundation (Parkinson.org) mission of improving the lives of people living with PD.
Television reporter and four-time Emmy Award winner, Ana Belaval co-headlines the event
with Comedian Paul Farahvar. Ana Belaval is one of the most beloved members of the number
one morning show in Chicago, WGN Morning News. Belaval is an award-winning journalist with
thirty years of experience reporting in English and Spanish.  In addition to her daily reporting
duties, Ana has been doing stand up comedy in English, Spanish and “Spanglish” for more than
a decade. Most recently, Ana sold out her show at Zanies Rosemont in English and her Spanish
show “Te Sientas o te Siento” has been sold out in Chicago, New York and Puerto Rico. Ana
lost her mom to Parkinson's this past May.

Chicago based Comedian Paul Farahvar delights audiences with his unique, quick witted dry
humor, centered on being a practical but aging bachelor and former litigator. With no manager
or agent, he managed to build a following in multiple cities, even selling out rooms in Chicago,
Rockford, Denver, Milwaukee, Scottsdale, Sarasota, St. Petersburg and Tampa. He has toured
with Dusty Slay, Chris Franjola, Gary Gulman, Demetri Martin, Jason Salmon, Bret Ernst and
Greg Fitzsimmons as their handpicked feature. He was runner up in the Chicago Reader for
Best Stand Up Comedian in 2021 and was voted "Top 40 Up and Coming Comedians" in 2017.
Prior to being a comedian, Farahvar was a trial litigator, also earning the "Top 40 under 40"
honor in Illinois.  As a touring comedian, he utilizes his platform to raise awareness for the
Parkinson’s Foundation, a cause very close to his heart which his father suffered from before he
passed in May.
