Songwriting Contest- Preliminary Round-Show 1 September 8, 2026
After releasing the LIVE AJ EP and performing at Uptown Lounge earlier this year, Chicago singer-songwriter AJ Rosales took a bit of a break before heading down to Nashville to record an interview for the Songwriter Connection Podcast. AJ is excited to be taking part in the Songwriting Contest- Preliminary Round-Show 1 at Hey Nonny in Arlington Heights.
“Hey Nonny’s Songwriting Contest is back and this year’s theme is “AI.” AI is everywhere in our world. But not here. This is a songwriting contest SOLELY for humans. Every song must be COMPLETELY conceived, composed and written by one or more humans.”
“We had tons of entrants and it was tough to narrow down, but we’ve done it and have THREE preliminary rounds full of talented artists and the top 3 from each date will come back for the final round on September 29.”
Tickets for the ‘Round One’ show are $15-$20 plus fees…
