Reeling: The Chicago LGBTQ+ International Film Festival September 17, 2026

More info

Queer people have always been here.

We’ve always created.

We’ve always told stories.

And for 44 years, Reeling has helped bring those stories that go from the heart and jump to the page, and land on the screen, where they can be watched, celebrated, and experienced together.

Reeling is the second-longest-running LGBTQ+ film festival in the world.

That’s not a milestone, it’s a legacy.

This year, join us for 11 days of queer storytelling. With more than 40 feature films and over 50 short films from all around the world. These stories are proof that queer media matters because we keep showing up for it.

When you purchase a festival pass, attend a screening, or become a Reeling member, you become part of this legacy.

Your support helps keep queer stories alive, supports the artists who create them, and helps make sure future generations will have a place to see themselves reflected on screen.

You’re not just joining us for a festival—you’re helping carry forward a queer legacy that deserves to live on.

Festival passes and memberships are available now, and individual screening tickets will be released soon!

Welcome to Reeling 2026…
