Intercambios is a series as part of Destinos: 9th Chicago International Latino Theater Festival, where workshops, seminars, and pláticas come together to inspire conversation, creativity, and collaboration.
Physical Acting: Lessons from a Puppet, led by Caroline Reck with Marina DeYoe-Pedraza, is a hands-on workshop in puppetry and physical performance using techniques developed by Glass Half Full Theatre (Austin, TX). Learn the principles of direct manipulation in tabletop puppetry to improve the physicality of your acting performance.
This workshop will be hosted in English, with Spanish available upon request. Perfect for actors, dancers, puppeteers, or anyone interested in the crossover between these art forms. Recommended for ages 18+. Tabletop puppets will be provided!
