The George Harrison Musical Birthday Tribute Show “My Sweet George” held annually at Martyrs’ is now in its 9th year! Presented by longtime Chicago music artists Ellis Clark (The Social Act Band/Epicycle/Chamber Strings) & Ary Paloma (The Jeebies), The My Sweet George Band has had the honor of performing a wide selection of tunes from the incredible George Harrison song catalogue, as well as hosting an eclectic variety of Chicago musicians who also take the stage to sing his tunes. These guest artists have included Tom Klein (Liquid Soul/Spies Who Surf), Clar & Gigi’s Sandalwood Sitar, Phil Angotti, Jay Goeppner, Soulkeeper Gerald McClendon, The Handcuffs, Billy, J Kramer, The Pepperland Rockestra, The New Heartaches, Pierce Crask, Phoenix, Twisted Roots, The Polkaholics, Secret 4, The 321’s and celebrities like Jim Belushi, to mention just a few.
