Monday Night PlayGround- Chicago
The topic for the November 3rd Monday Night PlayGround-CH has been announced: MURDER MYSTERY! The event will also serve as PlayGround’s second annual evening of one-person plays. From Sherlock Holmes adventures to true crime podcasts, “who done it” stories are as surprising as they are irresistible. PlayGround-CH Writers Pool members have been invited to create a new first-person (not autobiographical) solo piece inspired by this juicy prompt – where in the world, or in time, or in the space-time-continuum – will our playwrights take us? Join us on November 3rd, 7pm, at Theater Wit (1229 W Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60657) to find out! Get tickets at playground-ch.org/boxoffice/
The PlayGround-Chicago 2025-26 Writers Pool includes: Daniel Arzola, Siah Berlatsky, Andrea Berting, Jessie Bond, Anne Brady, Rachel Chin, Mikayla De Guzman, Kimberly Dixon-Mays, Betsy Dudak, Liz Haas, Dana Hall, James Hayakawa, Toby Inoue, Arti Ishak, Tanuja Devi Jagernauth, Jerluane Jenkins, Jessica Johnson, alfonzo kahlil, Juliet Kang Huneke, Alex Kingsley, Alan Maass, Sydney MacGilvray, Shail Modi, J.S. Puller, Shannon Pritchard, Jay Rehak, Matt Schutz, Katherine Swan.
Following the conclusion of the Monday Night series, PlayGround presents Best of PlayGround, a celebration of the top new playwrights and works from the season, in Los Angeles (April 6), New York (April 20), Chicago (April 27) and San Francisco (May 23-24).
