Mamma Mia! From Memory: Escape to Margaritaville

Cold Shower Comedy once again tasks itself with the challenge of recreating a movie with zero reference to the source material. Armed with some BFA’s and childhood memories, they will retell the story of three dads, one diary and countless 1970’s disco classics.

Cold Shower Comedy is a group of four girls writing full length plays nobody asked for. In their FAMOUS From Memory series, they have parodied titles such as Mary Poppins, Burlesque and Little Women. When developing a From Memory the team gets together and writes down everything they can recall from a given movie, devising their own unique script, without ever once referencing the source material (no Wikipedia, no youtube, no VHS). Cold Shower hopes their audience buys a ticket with the mindset of “I love that movie, I know every line, but I haven’t seen it years!” With the intention that they leave the show thinking “I don’t know if they nailed it, but I don’t care!”
