JBF Greens Chicago x Mirra


Join JBF Greens for Mexican Indian cuisine at Mirra in Bucktown from chef Zubair Mohajir, chef/partner Rishi Kumar, and beverage director/partner David Mor.

Named after a seventeenth century tale of a woman born into Indian royalty and married off to a Mexican merchant, Mirra explores the natural intersection between the two cultures and cuisines. The idea for Mirra was inspired by the combined culinary experiences of two of Chicago’s top chefs: Singapore-born chef Kumar, who trained under Rick Bayless at Frontera Grill, Topolobampo, and Bar Sotano, and James Beard Award semifinalist® Mohajir, who leads Indian-inspired fine dining concepts Coach House and Lilac Tiger.

For this occasion, chefs Kumar and Mohajir will create a three-course menu that weaves together Mexican and Indian flavors and locally sourced seasonal ingredients. Wine pairings are provided by The Calling and curated by Mor.

*70% of your ticket price will go directly to the host chef to support their business; 30% will go towards the Foundation’s national programming that is rooted in advocacy, racial equity, sustainability, and women’s leadership for the culinary industry.
