Jazz Institute of Chicago and Chicago Park District Present the 2025 Chicago Latin Jazz Festival
The Jazz Institute of Chicago, in partnership with the Chicago Park District, proudly presents the 2025 Chicago Latin Jazz Festival, a free, family-friendly celebration of Latin jazz, rhythm, and community. The two-night outdoor event will take place Friday, July 11 and Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Humboldt Park Fieldhouse (1440 N. Humboldt Blvd, Chicago, IL 60647).
Audiences are invited to bring lawn chairs, picnic baskets, and coolers and enjoy an open-air musical experience in one of Chicago’s most historic and culturally rich neighborhoods. This year’s festival is dedicated to the legacy of Norosbaldo “Noro” Morales Sanabria, the legendary Puerto Rican pianist whose artistry helped shape the Latin jazz tradition.
The 2025 musical lineup features a stellar roster of Latin jazz performers from across the country. Grammy-nominated pianist and composer Edsel Gomez headlines the festival on Friday at 7:30 PM, following an opening set by the Darwin Noguera Group at 6:00 PM. On Saturday, the festival continues with Adrian Ruiz performing at 5:00 PM, followed by a closing headliner set from acclaimed pianist Jackie Warren, whose vibrant sound has become a staple of the Cleveland jazz scene, at 6:30 PM. All performances are free to the public and will take place at the Humboldt Park Fieldhouse.
