Lauren Hooberman created Hot Dish! as a ‘cooking’ podcast (she’s not a good cook!) in her kitchen during the pandemic. She has since turned it into a live show. During the show, Lauren chats with a guest about their life, background and other topics, while they cook up something hot and tasty. While the food is cooking (yes, real food!), there is a high-stakes trivia challenge. You may win a prize! It might be amazing or it might be disposable underwear! She promises you will laugh a lot throughout.
Lauren will be joined by special guest Ji Suk Yi, co-host of Spotlight Chicago, which airs at 1 p.m. weekdays on WGN-TV. Ji’s two decades of media experience include work in television, print and radio, including ABC7’s Windy City LIVE for seven seasons, the Chicago Sun-Times web series “The Grid,” and contributing to the launch of cable news network NewsNation. A native of western North Carolina, Ji is a first-generation immigrant and life-long food enthusiast, who enjoys living in one of the best food cities in the world, Chicago.
