We the People: Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Beauty in Greektown Chicago July 3, 2026
The new public art exhibit We the People: Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Beauty in Greektown Chicago celebrates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence with 40 vibrant outdoor and indoor artworks along South Halsted Street in from Madison Street to Van Buren Street in Chicago’s Greektown neighborhood. The original works by 27 professional and emerging artists and 13 Chicagoland Greek schools take additional inspiration from the Statue of Liberty and the ideas of ancient Greek thinkers, creatively exploring the themes of the Declaration. This special art exhibit is free to attend daily now through May 2027. We the People is sponsored by Greektown SSA #16, the neighborhood’s business improvement district, and created by the Greektown Arts Committee with production assistance from the Chicago Greektown Educational Foundation.
