Presented by Emergent Fashion Society, The Journey is an immersive fashion experience celebrating Black creativity, fashion, and the journey behind bringing a creative vision to life.
Inspired by the spirit, storytelling, and magic of The Wiz, the experience takes audiences beyond the traditional runway and invites them into a world where fashion, music, movement, and visual storytelling come together. Featuring emerging Black designers and creatives, The Journey explores the courage it takes to pursue a vision, overcome obstacles, find your community, and ultimately step into your own spotlight.
From the designers and models to the production team and creative collaborators, every element of the experience reflects the collective journey behind the final runway moment.
Taking place in Chicago during the city’s vibrant fashion season, The Journey offers guests an opportunity to experience the city’s emerging fashion community while discovering the talent, creativity, and cultural perspective shaping the next generation of fashion.
