The Angels of Lemnos

Clark Week Productions is proud to present The Angels of Lemnos by Jim Henry for a very special 30th anniversary run with a portion of proceeds benefitting Deborah’s Place.

Hailed in reviews as “emotionally uplifting,” The Angels of Lemnos won two Jeff awards in Chicago (including best new works in 1999 with in premiere at Chicago Dramatists) and the LA Times Critics Choice Award after a five month run in Hollywood.
Lemnos follows Nathan Spandrel, an unhoused man with an intellectual disability who copes with a traumatic past by believing he can become an angel.
And today he’s found something very special, “his gift from god:” it’s a little baby boy. And he’s still alive.
The Angles of Lemnos is one of the most beautiful and underrated plays to come out of the mid 90s. CWP is honored to bring the production to life again in these tumultuous times when perhaps it’s message is needed the most.
With Phil Aman as Nathan Spandrel, Stephen Walker as Gertie and featuring Kyle T. Birch, Karyn Dorfler, Mara Currens, Betsy Taylor and James Banta in multiple ensemble roles.
Directed by Clint Clark.
“In the darkest of times, art is not an indulgence or an ego trip, but a mark of our deepest humanity. It is essential.”
